— Gabe Sapolsky confirmed that due to losing the ACE Arena, EVOLVE 10 has been officially canceled. The arena may be shutting down due to issues with the building’s owner and the local building authority. There has been no lead time to move the show, so the promotion decided to cancel it altogether.
Sapolsky commented on the situation, “We have tried desperately to save the show, but so far there has not been an affordable alternative that can also house iPPV. In addition, the former building also supplied the ring, sound system, staff and other important things a promotion needs. We would also have to scramble to replace all those things. We are holding out hope that something comes together. It would have to be very quickly as on two weeks notice it will be very difficult to promote and draw a reasonable crowd.”
The promotion has released EVOLVE 7 on DVD. That show features the farewell of Jon Moxley after being signed to a WWE developmental contract. It can be ordered at www.EVOLVEWrestling.com.
