— There were no reported injuries at Final Battle 2011. Jay Briscoe did get cut during the Tag Team Title match, and despite the brutal chair shots, there were no concussions.
— There were many production issues backstage during the show, and Jim Cornette was said to be very frustrated. This was the first show that Dan Bynum directed and the company had everyone wearing headsets so Bynum could communicate with the production crew and cameramen.
— The promotion is planning to bring in some outside talent for their taping in Baltimore, MD on January 7, 2012. This will be under the guise of an open door policy, where anyone can challenge the ROH champions. Talks are ongoing about bringing in talent from NOAH – Japanese and American – for various events in 2012.
— Jay Lethal’s parents were outside the arena prior to the event yelling for security to get the building owner or Carey Silkin. They were not allowed in as security didn’t recognize who they were. It was quite a scene outside the building. I’m guessing they were eventually let him but I didn’t stick around to find out.
