Since Vince Russo has left the TNA creative team, Dave Lagana was working with them in Orlando again this week. It’s rumored that he will brought in on a permanent basis. Lagana, Matt Conway, Bruce Prichard and Eric Bischoff are handling the majority of creative.
Prichard is the head of the team while Bischoff is an executive producer of the company. Hulk Hogan has creative control over his own character and has influenced other matters in the past.
There is no word if Conway or Lagana are doing the actual writing that Russo did. He quit the creative team even though he was under contract for several months, said to be ending in October. Russo was frustrated by his lack of power in writing content. His son, who worked in production, also left the company. Russo is being paid until his contract expires.
There is said to be a lot of frustration among the talent and crew because TNA president Dixie Carter did not hold a meeting to discuss the situation. Most of the wrestlers and crew didn’t know Russo was out until Carter confirmed it online. There is no word if the situation was mentioned at this week’s TV tapings.
