We noted earlier this morning that injured WWE star Christian tweeted a postcard on his Twitter account last night that said “Love From Milwaukee.”
This has led to speculation that Christian may be making his return tonight at the Elimination Chamber pay-per-view. To further that speculation, the official WWE Twitter account re-tweeted Christian’s postcard. WWE.com also has picked up the story about Christian tweeting that he was in Milwaukee, the site of tonight’s Elimination Chamber PPV. Greg Adkins wrote: “Is he actually in Wisconsin’s largest city? Or is he pulling another prank on the WWE Universe? If he is there, will he compete at tonight’s Elimination Chamber? And what would his arrival signal within the ranks of WWE? To find out if Christian will indeed reemerge to shock the WWE Universe, be sure to watch the Elimination Chamber pay-per-view live at 8 ET/ 5 PT.”
In an update on this, we can confirm that Christian has arrived backstage at the Bradley Center. We reported yesterday that WWE had been working on ideas for Christian’s return over the past week or so. He’s been cleared to return and they were just waiting for a way to write him back in to ongoing storylines.
With the recent injury to Randy Orton and Mark Henry not ready to return just yet, the feeling is that Christian will be brought back ASAP. It’s possible they’ll shoot an angle backstage at the pay-per-view where Santino is taken out by someone and then replaced in the SmackDown Elimination Chamber match by Christian. There are obviously other ways they can go about it as well. There is also no confirmation that he’ll appear at the pay-per-view but he is backstage. We shall see.
Also over the past week or so, WWE was coming up with plans for Edge’s 2012 WWE Hall of Fame induction. Those plans are said to involve Christian as well.
