— Last night’s live episode of SmackDown took a huge jump in social media activity. The show scored a total activity of 94,570, doulbe the yearly average. WWE RAW’s episode on Monday did 250,439, which was up 33% from normal.
— WWE RAW did a 3.24 (3.2) cable rating on Monday, up from a 2.99 rating last week and the same as the 3.25 rating from two weeks ago. The show averaged 4.63 million viewers, with 4.66 million for hour one and 4.59 million for hour two.
— In an update from Monday’s post about the Rock allegedly having heat with talent in WWE about getting a WrestleMania main event slot over everyone else, there is reportedly “more than a few people” in the company who are very upset that Rock is getting featured prominently as we noted earlier. The feeling is that the spot could be filled by an up and coming full-timer instead of the Rock, who doesn’t work for WWE full-time anymore. On the other side of the issue are those who point out that the Rock is a special attraction and that he brings enough interest and buyrates to justify his payday. Additionally everyone benefits and earns more from the Rock appearing because of the higher number PPV buys he is likely to draw.
