The candidates for the Democratic nomination for the US Senate race in Connecticut took aim at Linda McMahon during their first official debae last night. All three candidates–William Tong, Susan Bysiewicz and current Democratic favorite Chris Murphy–said they believed Linda would win the Republican nomination over Christopher Shay and gave their arguments for why they would be most likely to beat her.
Murphy said, “What I believe is Linda McMahon is going to be the candidate and she ultimately is going to have $50 million to spend. I may be up on Linda McMahon by a couple of points in the polls today, but I’m still going to run a race like I’m 20 points behind.”
