— As announced earlier this week, the Discovery Channel is partnering with WWE to promote the 100th episode of Deadliest Catch. The reason for the new relationship is that the Discovery Channel is aiming for a higher level of advertising with WWE.

DetroitNews.com has an article up about the venue, discussing its history with the Pistons, wrestling, roller derby and concerts. The arena was the home of Big Time Wrestling during The Sheik’s big run, and from 1965 to 1975 was said to be one of the hottest venues in the country.
