— TNA announced on iMPACT! that Bobby Roode will face Sting in a lumberjack match on next week’s show. The show will be the company’s first live show for this summer and will open the show in its new time slot at 8:00 PM ET. Brooke Hogan was previously announced as making her debut on the show.
— According to early estimates, TNA’s Sacrifice pay-per-view did around 8,000 to 9,000 buys. TNA put the pay-per-view up on YouTube after it was over as an experiment to see if they could make additional revenue, similar to what WWE has been doing lately.
— We noted before that Anthony Nese was released from his TNA contract recently. It was Nese’s decision to leave the company. He asked permission to work a June 1st internet pay-per-view event for the PWS promotion where he would have teamed with Sami Callihan against The Great Muta and Kai. TNA turned down his request so he asked for his release and they granted it.
