Backstage Visitors At WWE’s Royal Rumble Pay-Per-View

— As noted earlier here on the website, Mark Henry was backstage at the Royal Rumble PPV in Phoenix. It was the first WWE PPV Henry had been brought to in some time since he has been out recovering. Plans were reportedly in place for him to make a return, but didn’t end up happening.

— Also backstage at the event was Ted DiBiase who is slated to return soon.

— As noted earlier here on the website, former WWE stars Shelton Benjamin and Carlito were both staying at the same hotel WWE had book as they were in town for an indy show. Chris Masters was also in town visiting with the WWE crew on the weekend. Shane Helms had posted a photo on Facebook and Twitter with Carlito, Benjamin and Masters leading many to believe they would be surprises for the Rumble. We know Shelton and Carlito were both contacted earlier in the week and told to come to the ‘Rumble as the company had plans for them. As always, things changed and they went with Goldust, The Godfather and Chris Jericho instead.
