As noted moments ago here on the website, WWE has released Trent Baretta from his contract. Baretta has been with the company since 2008 and first appeared on WWE TV along with Caylen Croft. Baretta is already booked for PWS for WrestleMania weekend in Metuchen, NJ against Sonjay Dutt.
Trent Baretta tweeted the following regarding his WWE release:
So fired right now. Just wanna say thanks to everyone. WWE, all the good brothers, and fans. Thanks.
We’re told more releases are possible today. A source in the company reports that there would probably not be many more today, but that it was possible. They may continue over the weekend as well. We’ve contacted several mid-card talents who are in fear of being released and are waiting to hear back. If and when we do, we’ll post it here.
