According to a new report, 21 percent of WWE’s current television audience in the United States is under the age of 18. In comparison with the Attitude Era, that figure averaged between 37 and 40 percent. That figure broken down means around 4.5 million kids under the age of 18 were watching WWE programming back during the Attitude Era, which would average out to around 1.5 million today.
The reality of the switch to PG programming has allowed WWE to land a variety of new deals that the product from the Attitude Era would have prevented.
