UPDATE: According to Variety, preliminary numbers estimate that WrestleMania 29 will reach around 1.2 million. They also report that the event will be the highest-grossing “WrestleMania” ever for WWE, earning over $72 million. An announcement from WWE is expected today.

This just in: WrestleMania 29 did 1.2 million worldwide. That’s less than the 1.3 for WrestleMania 28 in Miami.

WWE will report its 2013 first quarter results on Thursday May 2, 2013, and will likely share information on the buyrate at that time.
