— At this year’s WWE Hall of Fame ceremony in New York City (as well as leading up to the event), Bob Backlund was telling officials that he was going to back out. He thought he would be overshadowed by the other inductees. It should be noted that the company was not at all happy with his Hall of Fame speech.

— With WWE planning to open their new Performance Center opening up in Florida, it’s expected that more independent wrestlers will be signed to development contracts soon. Sami Callihan is the latest being considered, as he’s undergoing medical testing for a potential deal.
