Former ECW backstage staffer Debra “Debbie” Beaumont passed away last month following a long battle with cancer at the age of fifty-eight. Beaumont was known among ECW fans as the “nasty/bitchy ticket lady” that sold tickets at the front door, and even had her own t-shirt sold by ECW advertising her job title. Beaumont was one of Paul Hayman’s most trusted people backstage and was involved in getting talent booked for surprise appearances, then into the building without people knowing. She was heavily involved in the day-to-day operations of the promotion.
In 2001 after ECW closed, Beaumont left the business and went into the medical field, never showing up at reunion shows and only visiting a couple of times. She was well-remembered by many involved with the promotion though.
On behalf of all of us here on the website, we send our condolences to the family and friends of Debbie Beaumont.
