As noted earlier here on the website, Chris Sabin had his head stitched up as a result of an errant hit during the Ultimate X Match for the X Division Championship at Slammiversary. The idea behind Hulk Hogan’s promo was to give Sabin “the rub”. There are major plans in place to push Sabin in the coming months and the title win/promo were the start of that.
Josh Hobbs sent word that Chris Sabin was not injured during the Ultimate X match, but actually afterward. After winning, Sabin dropped down from the cables and upon hitting the ring, the championship belt smacked him in the head, busting him open hardway.
