The TNA Knockouts Tag Team Championship has apparently been deactivated as the the official website of Impact Wrestling is no longer listing the championship on its roster page.
Last week on iMPACT! Wrestling, Knockouts division executive Brooke Hogan stripped ODB and Eric Young of the title due to Young’s male gender. There was no further announcement made concerning the belts.
The championship was created in 2009 due to the roster depth of the Knockouts division at the time. Sarita and Taylor Wilde became the inaugural champions in September of that year, besting Madison Rayne and Velvet Sky in the finals of a four-team tournament. The final champions, ODB and Young, held the titles for a record 478 days.
