— Awesome Kong (aka Kharma in the WWE) is booked this weekend for Dory and Marti Funk’s !Bang! promotion in Ocala, Florida. Kong will be in an eight person tag team match featuring Dory Funk Jr., Johnny Magnum, Quinton “Drop-Back” Hitchcock vs. Amazing Kong, Romero Youngblood and a Mystery Partner. — Lanny Poffo returned to the ring over the weekend at Jac Sabboth’s Impact Championship Wrestling event in Deer Park, New York. Poffo defeated KC Blade with a moonsault. Poffo is now 58 years old. The show was headlined by Amazing Red vs. Danny Demanto. Matt Striker appeared as the surprise referee and made the match an Extreme Rules bout. Red ended up getting 13 stitches in his hand after cutting it deeply when he landed on some chairs while coming off a ladder. ICW will be returning to the Elks Lodge in Queens, NY in September with Tommy Dreamer and Rikishi set to appear.
