As previously reported, The Young Bucks have been announced as returning to Ring of Honor on August 3rd in Toronto. Dragon Gate USA, where the brothers are tag team champions, were not pleased to find this out with Gabe Sapolsky noting that he read the news online and wasn’t pleased about being blindsided by it.
The Young Bucks are not under contract with DGUSA and are free to work anywhere, but it was thought that with them being Dragon Gate USA’s tag-team champions it was bad form to work with Ring of Honor. The Bucks have several bookings still scheduled with the promotion but their status as tag-team champions may be “up in the air.” Their next title defense are against Rich Swann and Ricochet on July 28th before the ROH show.
Someone from The Young Buck’s camp replied to Sapolsky’s comments noting, “You have our phone number.” Hmm, wouldn’t it make sense for The Young Bucks to call Sapolsky and DGUSA before taking bookings with a different and rival promotion?!
More as we get it.
