— Rob Van Dam’s current short-term WWE contract is expiring on October 1st according to WWE sources. Obviously, he’s agreed to work through WWE’s Battleground pay-per-view. It’s possible that they’ll give him the title at the pay-per-view in an effort to get him to stick around but that is by no means confirmed.

— The 9/16 WWE RAW was once again among the top 25 shows on cable last week for the week ending 9/22/13. The show came in at No. 8, No. 10 and No. 11. This is an increase from last week’s show that came in at No. 11, No. 15 and No. 16.
The show drew a 2.96 cable rating with 4.01 million viewers.
