WWE will have several interested parties once its TV rights deal with NBC/Universal expires.
NBC’s contracts to carry WWE RAW and WWE SmackDown expire this year and as several people within the TV industry have noted, the announcement of the WWE Network has come at an opportune time in terms of negotiation leverage.
It is believed that WWE will be able to negotiate more favorable rights fees for the shows.
