As previously reported, the original Sin Cara (Mistico) is currently being advertised for the March 1st Baja Stars Wrestling event in Tijuana. This date will be after his current WWE contract expires so it does look like they are going to cut him loose. Hunico will continue working under the Sin Cara mask so the company can continue selling his merchandise.
For what it’s worth, Mistico’s brother says this is not the case and he will not be working the Tijuana show. Cara did recently tweet that he would be appearing at the one year anniversary celebration of his Sin Cara Gym in Mexico City. That takes place on February 1st. Following his WWE departure, he’s interested in heading to AAA since he left CMLL on bad terms and they already have their own Mistico character.
