As noted on Friday here on the website, new reports suggest that Sting is not considered a “top priority” by those high in WWE’s management structure. While there are those pushing the idea that he should be a priority, those people do not have a lot of pull within the company. That being said, the company sees potential for money with Sting due to merchandising including T-shirts, action figures, DVDs and other products.
The latest in regards to Sting is that he may appear at WrestleMania 30 but is unlikely to wrestle on the show. The company feels that if he can pass their physicals, he should still be considered only a “special attraction” type performer. With WrestleMania 31 taking place in California next year, there is a good chance that he would be a strong candidate for next year’s WWE Hall Of Fame.
