— WWE’s current mood on hiring new talents is that they are not high on “real athletes” and are more into indie wrestlers who have prior experience. With that being said though, they are still down on guys who are smaller in nature. They are back to looking for guys with bigger physiques. Gerald Brisco is the main person who goes out and scouts the talents while Triple H is normally the guy who winds up signing them if he likes what he sees.
— As a reminder, it was announced that WWE World Heavyweight Champion Randy Orton will face Batista on this Monday’s WWE RAW broadcast. The show will air live from Washington, DC, the hometown of Batista. It’ll be interesting to see the crowd reaction he receives. We’ll have free live WWE RAW coverage here on the website.
— As noted last week here on the website, former WWE Champion Rob Van Dam is scheduled to return to WWE during WrestleMania 30 weekend in New Orleans. WWE has already booked Van Dam’s travel for that weekend, so he will be returning to WWE TV very shortly. Several sources claim he’s returning on RAW the night after WrestleMania 30. Van Dam returned to WWE last July at the Money in the Bank PPV after a stint in TNA from 2010-2013. His last appearance for WWE was in a match against Alberto Del Rio last October at the Battleground PPV.
