The feeling backstage amongst the wrestlers is that WWE officials are not in any hurry to bring Daniel Bryan back into the main event scene when he returns, noting that top level guys like John Cena and Triple H would never be brought back just to appear on a pay-per-view pre-show (WWE announced last week that Bryan would return at Money in the Bank as part of the pre-show).
Some WWE officials apparently believe that Bryan’s bubble has popped and that he got injured when WWE needed him the most. This has made some officials hesitant to throw him back in the main event scene when he returns. Many point to the fact that Bryan was originally scheduled to face Sheamus at WrestleMania and only was pushed because CM Punk quit.
Dolph Ziggler suffered a similar fate when he suffered a concussion right after winning the WWE Money in the Bank briefcase.
