As we noted earlier today, John Cena suffered an eye injury after taking a bad headbutt from Bray Wyatt at the WWE live event on Saturday night in Madison, Wisconsin. Cena’s eye is reportedly swollen completely shut and is said to look awful today.
There was some concern that Cena potentially suffered a concussion as well on Saturday night, however he is booked for tonight’s WWE live event in Rochester, Minnesota.
WWE did change his match to a six-man tag-team match, with Cena teaming with The Usos to take on all three members of The Wyatt Family, which will help limit the amount of physicality he will need to do, but does confirm that he didn’t suffer a concussion. Had he suffered a concussion, there is no way WWE would have put him back in the ring 24 hours later, especially on a non-televised event.
