UPDATE: According to sources, there were some creative releases last week to go along with the talent releases. This included head writer Jay Gibson as we noted earlier here on the website. WWE has reportedly made other money saving moves over the last week, but they have not been revealed at this time.
The company is looking at several ways to make cuts in advance of the next quarterly earnings report. There are many within the company worried about their own short term future, especially if they have been there for some time and make good money. Many feel that it’s going to get rough in the coming months, with everything from production and creative to developmental seeing cuts in different areas.
We’ll keep you posted as we hear more.
