— As noted earlier, this week’s WrestleMania Rewind will be centered around Triple H vs. The Undertaker from Wrestlemania 27. The synopsis reads, “Rewind and Relive the rivalry between the last outlaws in WWE – The Undertaker and Triple H, and their epic match from WrestleMania XXVII.”
— Back in June here on the website, we noted that former NFL player Baron Corbin (Tom Pestock) is one of the WWE NXT talents to watch in the coming months. He was going to use a biker gimmick with Raquel Diaz (Shaul Guerrero) before she was released in early 2014.
Corbin is now coming out and leaving with no theme music and isn’t celebrating after his wins.
Corbin and NXT star Jason Jordan were also brought to a recent set of RAW and SmackDown TV tapings.
— As noted, the third hour of last Monday’s WWE RAW drew just 4.051 after falling from 4.511 million viewers in the second hour. The final segment of that show featured Brie Bella and Stephanie McMahon building to their SummerSlam match.
On a recent episode of Wrestling Observer Radio, a fan asked if any blame was being put on Brie for the low number in the final hour. We don’t have the RAW quarter-hour ratings yet but it’s very possible that the final segment caused the big drop. It was said that likely no blame is being put on Brie because it’s Stephanie’s angle and that would mean blaming Stephanie also, which isn’t going to happen.
