— The San Francisco 49ers accepted Stephanie McMahon’s challenge for the ALS Ice Bucket Challenge. For their challenge, they have laid down the gauntlet for WWE Hall of Famer Ric Flair.
— As we’ve previously reported, there is a lawsuit currently pending against Big Show and WWE from former road producer Andrew Green. Green had claimed that Show attacked him without provocation while he was trying to arrange to have Show appear for an on-camera interview and that the assault–which was captured on tape–was posted online by the company.
According to sources, this was a contributing factor in Alberto Del Rio’s firing. The company felt that having a similar incident would hurt them in the ongoing lawsuit and in a potential suit by Social Media producer Cody Barbierri, who Del Rio attacked.
