— On Thursday night’s edition of NXT on the WWE Network, William Regal was revealed to be the new NXT General Manager. As a result, Regal will be overseeing the upcoming NXT Takeover 2 live special on the WWE Network, which is scheduled for September 11th.
Additionally, new NXT GM Regal announced the main event for the Takeover 2 special, which will see Sami Zayn vs. Tyson Kidd vs. Tyler Breeze vs. Adrian Neville for the NXT World Heavyweight Championship.
— We noted earlier that Brock Lesnar is currently being advertised for the October 21st WWE SmackDown taping. This is the last SmackDown prior to the Hell in a Cell PPV, which means that Lesnar is likely set for that pay-per-view. Of course, it’s only local advertising so that can easily change.
— Fan Expo Canada has announced that Batista will appear at the event on Saturday, August 30 in Toronto. WWE Hall of Famers Hulk Hogan, Lita, and Trish Stratus will also appear at the fan expo on Friday and Saturday.
