According to sources, rib issues were the cause of Samoa Joe being forced to vacate the X-Division title for the recent iMPACT! Wrestling tapings.

According to earlier reports, it was his shoulder that was injured. Joe was hurt on the first night of the tapings, but he tried to work through the injury, which only made things worse.
