According to Variety, John Cena is getting into reality TV production. The site reports that Cena is teaming with Leftfield Pictures, the production company behind Pawn Stars, to develop new reality TV series. Cena is hoping to launch new TV series featuring unknowns with interesting stories to tell.
Cena told the site, “For someone like me that’s surrounded by so many interesting characters, you know when you brush up against someone who can hold a room. There are so many people out there who can hold someone’s attention.”
The article notes that Cena’s producer work is independent of WWE, but could conceivably become involved if the situation warrants. Cena said that “We have a few already in the pipeline, a few irons in the fire.”
