CM Punk was spotted backstage at Ohio Valley Wrestling’s “Saturday Night Special” show last Saturday. He was likely there to support his friend Cliff “Domino” Compton, who won the OVW Heavyweight title for the third time after beating Melvin Maximus and Marcus Anthony. Punk only spoke to Rip Rogers, Trailer Park Trash, & Compton. Everyone else was advised to leave him alone. He later left with Compton and wasn’t seen by fans in attendance.
Punk previously wrestled for OVW from September 2005 to summer 2006, when it was the developmental promotion for WWE. This was his first wrestling-related event since he left the WWE.
