In an interview with Digital Spy, Seth Rollins said he wants to headline above John Cena at Hell in A Cell. Rollins will fight Ambrose while Cena will fight Orton. Here are highlights:
On his favorite Hell in a Cell match: “I know it’s kind of cliché but my favorite is still the first Hell in a Cell. I just think there’s something really, really special about it – Shawn and The Undertaker. For me it was just something that was really special about the cage, the match itself. It was super innovative just being what it was. They didn’t have to be crazy on top of the cage. They did so much cool stuff and it was such a good time to watch and it just so different for the time. For me, that’s my favorite Hell in a Cell match of all time.”
On the moment in that match that stood out: “There’s actually one. I don’t know if it’s that memorable, but for me there’s one chair shot The Undertaker gave Shawn Michaels. The chair just bent right around Shawn’s skull, and he took this crazy bump. It was just a straight flat bump where he went straight down and his legs were split out. I remember the chair shot looking like it killed him. A face full of blood and all that. I just remember, it looked like a gunshot, it sounded like a gunshot, it looked like it killed Shawn. For me, I don’t know why that was like a symbolic moment of the whole match. It was really cool, if you go back and watch it.”
On if going on last at Hell in a Cell is important to him: “Yeah, it is. I’d be lying to you if I didn’t say that it was. We won’t know the answer to that question till Sunday comes. Of course it’s important. I want to go on last every single night, regardless of the match, regardless of the show. But you throw in the added element that we’re going up against a Cena-Orton match, which has been headlining pay-per-views for the last decade, that’s something huge. That’s a big thing to be able to go on after that match and exceed all the expectations. That’s important. I want that challenge, I want that responsibility and I wanna go on last and I wanna be known as the guy who goes on last every single night. That’s important to me.”
