Dolph Ziggler recently spoke with The Sun to hype the upcoming WWE 2K15 video game. Ziggler, who has been outspoken about part-time legends coming back to WWE for big paydays, gave a warning to Sting and others like him – “You’ve got to earn your spot.”
When asked about the possibility of Sting wrestling The Undertaker at WrestleMania 31, Ziggler said:
“Sting can call out whoever he wants, he’s a legend in this business. Of course, legends can call out whoever they want and do as they please, but they can’t just show up and get handed matches.”
While appearances by like The Rock and Sting do take spots away from WWE’s up and coming young talent, Ziggler does understand the value of legends returning:
“I’m all for Sting being involved in any possible way. Even though I’m sure it will take away from some other young up-and-comer’s time, the rare occasion of seeing someone like Sting, who’s never been in a WWE ring… just to see him do something would be great for the fans and that’s what it is all about.”
