Backstage Updates On The Rock, Sting & WWE

— The current tentative plan is for Sting to wrestle Triple H at WrestleMania, especially now that The Rock has signed to do a new movie in the spring. Sting is likely to make irregular appearances for the next few months, before becoming a regular weekly character leading into WrestleMania. Rob Feinstein noted earlier today that he was under the impression that The Undertaker was “done” and wouldn’t be facing Sting. Of course, we all know what happens during WrestleMania season so we’ll have to wait and see.

— The entire Team Authority vs. Team Cena angle for Survivor Series, including Sting’s debut was a decision made by Vince McMahon. Apart from November being a big month for the WWE Network and offering a PPV show for free, the recent WWE 2K15 video game release with Sting being a major character made the timing right.
