There is no word on what the surgery was specifically; the storyline when he was put out of action said that he suffered a stinger in his arm, bone spurring, narrowing of the spinal canal and narrowing of the nerve canals along with nerve compression in his neck.
There is some talk within the company that he will be coming back as a heel for the road to WrestleMania 31.
