In an interview with The Herald Dispatch, Wade “Bad News” Barrett expressed his desire to one day main event Wrestlemania. Here are highlights:
On becoming a wrestler: “Pro wrestling is what I dreamed about. I knew it was a longshot, but I owed it to myself to try. Apply myself and the payoff is there. I’ve gone around the world.”
On playing a villain: “It’s been pretty incredible. I love being bad. Everyone hates to be a sissy. I’m a bit of a pain. I like being the bad guy.”
On main eventing Wrestlemania: “I aim to break into that bracket. I know I have what I need. If I get the opportunity, I have to cash in.”
