FWE Cancels Three Shows – Their Future In Jeopardy?

FWE sent out the following today, announcing the cancellation of three events and that their October event may be their last.

In the sh**ty news department due to the failure of the “promoter” (I use that term loosely) upstate to live up to the terms of the agreement all three upstate shows have to be canceled. Those of you in the upstate area probably know exactly who we’re talking about.

FWE was hired to run three shows in the upstate market with the venue agreeing to cover certain expenses. They have missed their payment deadline and bounced multiple payments to talent only to come back with a million different excuses. We did everything we could to try to keep the dates and even considered moving the shows back to Brooklyn. Unfortunately on 3 weeks notice with multiple chances given to them to make things right, their continued failure to do so left us no other choice but to cancel the events.

In 19 shows FWE has never canceled and even took a major risk moving a Wednesday California show back home to NY. Considering the timeframe of events and the circumstances surrounding the situation there is nothing we can do to save the shows.

Everyone at FWE is extremely disappointed in the actions of our upstate contact as the FWE fans have apparently been lied to since day one. Unfortunately with us being put in this situation it’s a major blow to not only our reputation but the fans who were excited to see a great weekend of FWE action.

Refunds will start going out tonight and should all be issued in the next 7-10 days. Anyone that purchased tickets through the FWE website will be directly refunded by us. If you purchased via groupon you should start getting refunds shortly. If you purchased at one of the ticket outlets upstate set up by our please return to the point of purchase for a full refund. If you have any questions, comments or just want to tell us how much we suck and you hate us now feel free to email FWESupport@aol.com.

With that said the Oct. 10th show is currently our only event still scheduled in 2015 and it could very likely be our last. It’s been a great ride and we’re happy to have shared it with so many passionate fans and we want to thank each and everyone of you who has supported us by buying a ticket, DVD or iPPV. We hope that we brought you all a little bit of joy and while the shows certainly weren’t PG, we really were like one big happy dysfunctional family.
