— Last night’s episode of WWE SmackDown was up from the previous week’s slide. The episode drew 2.589 million viewers and a 0.71 rating in the 18 – 49 demographic. Those numbers are up 2% and 14%, respectively, from the previous week’s 2.528 million and 0.62 demo rating.
While the gains were relatively minor (at least in raw numbers), they were still enough to be the show’s best viewership and demo rating since the April 23rd episode pulled in 2.642 million and a 0.72 demo rating. The show was obviously helped by the fact that the network shows are off for the summer, though it still had to contend with the NBA conference final between the Rockets and the Warriors.
The show ranked third among cable shows for the night behind the NBA game (2.73 demo rating, 6.866 million viewers) and the Sportscenter that followed (1.32 demo rating, 3.071 million viewers).
