— In an update on earlier reports, Austin Aries’ contract with TNA expires at the end of June. There has not yet been word of TNA re-signing him but we know the company wants him to stay.
— A pilot for Dixie Carter’s planned reality TV show was filmed during the last set of iMPACT! Wrestling TV tapings. She gave a speech to the roster about how they shouldn’t believe everything on the Internet about iMPACT!’s ratings. This speech was also filmed for the pilot, as was officially introducing Billy Corgan to the roster.
Some in the company feel that even if they aren’t able to get a new TV deal in the US, the international clearance and Dixie’s reality show are good reasons to keep TNA going. The idea is that Dixie’s reality show will be sold on the fact that a woman is running a wrestling company in a male-dominated industry.
