— During RAW Monday night, it was announced that Team BAD (Sasha Banks, Naomi and Tamina) will be appearing on WWE Tough Enough this week on the USA Network.
— As noted earlier here on the website, it was announced that Brock Lesnar will be back on RAW next week. RAW takes place in San Jose, California next Monday as previously reported.
— ESPN may end up giving SummerSlam some extra visibility as previously reported. There is a push in the network to cover WWE’s upcoming PPV like it’s a major sports event.
According to sources, there are those such as Jonathan Coachman who believe that wrestling is hot right now and are pushing fans to contact ESPN asking to cover SummerSlam. There is another group within the company that is opposed to the idea, as professional wrestling isn’t a real sport.
ESPN did a lot of coverage of WrestleMania, so the idea isn’t completely out of left field. ESPN has been under pressure as of late, with revenues signficantly down. The feeling is that picking up on WWE would give them a boost.
