Oregon Live reports that the private funeral for Roddy Piper (Roderick George Toombs) took place today in Oregon. A public memorial service for friends and fans was held at the Portland Sports Arena yesterday.
Piper’s family asked that fans join them for a moment of silence at 1:30 PM ET today. You can also donate to the Stand For The Silent and Doernbecher Children’s Hospital Foundation charities instead of flowers.
R.I.P Roddy … and I think I speak on behalf of everyone here on the website when I say we’ll miss you. Heaven just got a whole lot rowdier!
