MLive spoke with Tough Enough winner Sara Lee’s family about her win in a new article. Lee’s grandmother Carol Newcomb said Lee is “a winner. She’s a winner all the way. No matter what she does, she’s a winner.”
She also mentioned Sara’s “Hope” gimmick, saying, “Hope is her new name, and she came from Hope — a small town. It does not matter how small you are; it doesn’t matter what you have. It’s how you use it; it’s how you present it. You use it and don’t let anyone knock you to the bottom. She stayed true to herself. Thousands of young girls will learn from Sara. She is an excellent role model.”
