The Minnesota Vikings issued a statement to BringMeTheNews.com about the report that WrestleMania 33 could come to the new stadium being built. Here is the statement…

“Lester meant to say we are hopeful the new stadium will host a future College Football Playoff Championship and WrestleMania. Unfortunately the mistake was not caught during the editing process. To be clear, Minnesota has not been awarded a future WrestleMania. Minneapolis has submitted a bid and hopes to hear something from WWE by the end of the year. Obviously all U.S. Bank Stadium partners would love to bring the excitement and economic impact of WrestleMania to this market.”
