UPDATE: 29-year-old Armando Alejandro Montalvo was the man that was shot outside of the performance center. This was the third incident with him recently, which also includes one two weeks ago where he was swinging a chain. WFTV has an article up, which features comments from friends of Montalvo. Those friends noted that he had some issues mentally, but that they never expected anything like this to happen.
There is video online of Montalvo discussing former WWE Diva AJ Lee, but it appears that Montalvo was recently targeting Lita, who has been working at the Performance Center as part of Tough Enough. When Montalvo was arrested back on August 4th, he was in possession of a sign for Lita. WWE did take out an injunction against Montalvo, but when they attempted to have it served at his home on August 18th, his mother refused to take it.
ORIGINAL: According to sources, WWE sent out word that absolutely no one should comment about the incident yesterday at the WWE Performance Center on social media or in interviews.
WWE only wants information being put out by the local authorities.
We’ll keep you posted as we hear more.
