— After falling in the ratings last week, Smackdown managed to inch back up. Last night’s episode drew 2.04 million viewers and a 0.53 rating in the 18 – 49 demographic, up 3% and 2% respectively from 1.981 million and a 0.52. The numbers are still among the lowest for the show in the last few years though; two weeks ago, by comparison, the show did 2.195 million and a 0.65.
Smackdown was up against the NFL’s opening game of the season between the Steelers and the Saints, which brought in an impressive 27.4 million and a 10.3 demo rating on NBC. Smackdown placed third among cable originals behind Teen Mom II on MTV and Project Runway on Lifetime.
