In an interview with CBS Radio Dallas 105.3 THE FAN, Seth Rollins talked about facing Sting at Night of Champions and his neck injury. He revealed that Sting is doing very well now and resting in Dallas. Here are highlights:
On being in the ring with Sting: “Obviously, being in the ring with a legend like Sting, who I believe is from Dallas [Texas], actually, that was wild, dude.”
On talking with Sting after the match: “[Sting] and I had a conversation after the match. I mean, it wasn’t like he was completely out of it. He just had a little bit of a scary situation. You’ve got to hand it to the guy. I mean, Sting is 56 years old. That’s incredible. I’m 29, so, I mean, the fact that he was able to get in there and do the things he did for that match and stuff, it’s really a testament to how good of shape he kept himself in over the years and stuff like that. And, it’s not ballet. We don’t get in there and dance around, so it’s physical and he pulled no punches and he wanted to go all the way, balls to the wall.”
On hearing from Sting: “It’s good to hear from him and I’m glad he actually had some really kind words to say about me as well, so I appreciate that coming from someone I looked up to quite a bit when I was younger.”
