During his time on The Steve Austin Show, Marcus “Buff” Bagwell said that Jim Ross ruined his career after WWE bought WCW in 2001. Now, during the most recent episode of “The Ross Report” podcast, Ross said he didn’t listen to the show but will not listen as he doesn’t want to hear himself get buried. He said that while a perk of his job was to help wrestlers realize their dreams and get a “great quality of life” for themselves and their families, he hated firing people.
He said: “My former job as head of WWE talent relations was often times a thankless job. I never relished in firing people and it only makes sense that if a talent could help a company that I wanted them to make it. I’m sorry Marc feels like he does. I’m sure he believes what’s there is true but I never went out of my way to cause him any misery. I just was the guy that had to deliver the bad news.“
