It appears AJ Styles isn’t in talks with WWE after all. Despite rumors last week that Styles had been in discussions with the company about going to NXT, this is just speculation based on the fact that WWE.com linked to an old Styles WWE match from 2001.
As of November 9th, Styles has had no contact with WWE. His deal with NJPW is up in January after the annual Tokyo Dome show, and he has said he’ll go with whoever offers him the best overall deal. As you’d imagine, WWE is interested in him for NXT. We’ll see what happens in January.
