VIDEO: Bubba The Love Sponge Discusses Hogan’s ‘Stolen’ Sex Tape

In an interview with WFTS is Tampa Bay, Bubba the Love Sponge spoke about the Hulk Hogan sex tape and the legal problems that followed its release. Here are highlights:

* He wants everyone to be treated fairly and he doesn’t think that he or Hogan have been, especially considering “who is being charged with what”. He said that State Attorney Mark Ober has an issue with him based on former cases.

* His shock jock character is mostly show business. He said he’s an entertainer and he’ll use his influence to “bring light to the situation.”

* Matt Lloyd (Spice Boy) went from making $120,000 to $80,000, which is why he was angry with Bubba. He said his revenue model went down and he had to cut costs, so everyone took a pay cut.

* Hogan having sex with Bubba’s wife was between two consenting adults and was caught on Bubba’s home surveillance. He said it isn’t illegal but it’s nobody’s business so it shouldn’t have been stolen and leaked online.

* The videos were in a box that he was told to move during his divorce. He thinks someone looked in the box and knew the tape was in there. That person was Lloyd, who sent a screenshot to The Dirty. Bubba had no idea who had it.

* Everything he said to investigators was validated. He wants Lloyd prosecuted and thinks the case can be used as a deterrent for future extortion cases.

* He said he paid Lloyd over a million dollars and he was paid $8,500 for TMZ, which he put in his 10-year-old stepson’s account. He told Lloyd that if he comes to the studio and admits what he did before buying everyone lunch and a lottery ticket, he’ll drop the civil charges.

* He hopes he can patch things up with Hogan in the future, but doesn’t plan on reaching out due to the upcoming civil trial.

* He wants to retire because his job has shown him a side of people he didn’t know, so he has a hard time trusting others.
